Betrayal is an emotional wound that cuts deep. Really deep. Especially when it comes to matters of the heart. The pain of being cheated on or experiencing infidelity can leave a partner feeling broken, lost, and overwhelmed with a range of emotions that they might not be able to handle or understand. Some of those emotions include; sadness, depression, and anger - just to name a few. Coping with betrayal requires so much strength and willpower, self-care, and a commitment to a journey of healing. I myself, have been a victim of cheating. My son's father, and now ex boyfriend, cheated on me with a co-worker first, then my sister-n-law. I won't get to much into detail about that as I do not want to talk about the details of any of it just yet, but the pain was unbearable the first time, and not as bad as the first time, the second time around. Nonetheless, it still hurt, so here are some coping strategies that helped me along my journey of self-love and healing:

Engaging in mindfulness practices such a as meditation or yoga can also help soothe a broken heart and promote emotional healing.
